Research Question:How does moral fiction affect society as people develop their moral values through life?
Thesis Statment:Fiction books are written so that we can experience other worlds through stories. Does it affect us morally and if it does is it positive or negative. In these ultra-"civilized" Victorian novels, the bad guys were like bullies in a hunter-gatherer band, while the good guys were humble and cooperative. History demonstrates fiction's ability to alter societal values, for better or worse. People act as if the characters were real people, admiring the protagonists and despising the antagonists, feeling happy when the good guys won and sad or angry when they were threatened. Function affects our feelings doesn't that mean it affects moral values.
