Research Question:How is the legacy of the Colorado Labor wars treated by various governmental and non-governmental organizations in Colorado and how do these organizations' views hold up against modern political situations and the complete historical context?
Thesis Statement:
If people don’t properly understand the context of why things like company towns were abolished in the first place, or the history of Pinkerton detectives and how their legacy has manipulated our collective memory when these things still exist many will not properly understand the consequences; if we can look back at specific times in the history of organized labor in Colorado, especially, Ludlow, Cripple Creek, and Telluride we can more properly understand our relationship to labor and the actions of employers.
